La Perla is an Italian luxury fashion company founded in 1954 in Bologna by the dressmaker Ada Masotti, an expert in the art of corsetry. Initially a lingerie brand, it then entered the swimwear, nightwear, ready-to-wear and accessories sectors. Since February 2018 it has been controlled by a Dutch company.
The company entered the perfume industry with the first fragrance, called La Perla. Then in 1993 the men's perfume, Grigioperla , was created, which was followed by several variations.
