Nivea is a brand with a long and fascinating history of success, the product of brilliant research, exceptional creativity and good business sense. In 1890, Dr. Oscar Troplowitz bought a laboratory in which, together with dermatologist Professor Paul Gerson Unna, he developed the first stable oil-and-water cream with an emulsifying agent called Eucerit and a rose and lily-of-the-valley scent.
