Revlon was born in 1932, thanks to the intuition of the brothers Charles Joseph Revson and the chemist Charles Lachman, from whom the L in the name derives. The three have gone down in the history of cosmetics for having produced and sold the first modern nail polish. They had an idea that was considered revolutionary for the time: instead of using paints, they thought of using real pigments as bases for the colors, in this way they had the possibility of expanding the chromatic range and definitively entered the Olympus of world cosmetics. In the 1950s they launched lipsticks on the market, and then continued with lines of face and eye cosmetics. The Revlon brand boom dates back to the 1980s, when the brand was also distributed in department stores, becoming one of the most widespread and well-known beauty brands in the world. In the 1990s, Revlon chose Halle Berry as its testimonial and launched the well-known ColorStay line, which is still the brand's best-selling line. One of Revlon's flagship products is the Colorstay 24h Foundation, ideal for combination or oily skin. Also very popular are the lipsticks from the Super Lustrous Lipstick and Lipgloss line, Revlon Ultra HD and the matte liquid lipsticks.
