Salvatore Ferragamo is a brand known for its designs that range from more bizarre creations, often true objects of art of the highest design, to lines of more traditional elegance. Founder of the fashion house of the same name, he opened his first workshop in Florence, after moving from Hollywood. Here he produced women's shoes, initially intended only for the American market. The first Ferragamo label and advertising poster were created in 1930 by the futurist painter Lucio Venna. In the 1950s, his company headquarters became a destination for film actresses, the international jet set and royal families, who came to his showrooms to order shoes, considered extraordinary for their quality and inventiveness.
