The fashion house Thierry Mugler is inspired by the name of its founder. Thierry Mugler was born in Strasbourg on December 21, 1948 and became a French stylist and photographer. He began his career working as a window dresser and in his spare time he practiced designing clothes. In 1973 he managed to create his first clothing line and created his own brand in 1975. His style became very famous in those years and was a source of inspiration in other fields as well and is remembered above all for the corsets that Madonna wore during her concerts. In 1990, in collaboration with the Clarins group, the Thierry Mugler perfume line was introduced. The launch of Angel, the first Gourmand fragrance, was only launched on the market in 1992. The first men's fragrance created by the fashion house was introduced to the market only in 1996, with the creation and sale of A*men. Other fragrances that followed were Mugler Cologne Womanity and Alien. In 2007, the presence of the double source that allows the fragrances to be refilled was also released on the market for Alien and Angel.
